Welcome back grumpy parents, partners, and tired mothers. It's not easy being you. You've been with this one person for a lifetime (or so it seems). In marriage, things like passion and that 'in love' feeling can come and go like the tides. Only you and your partner know all the bs you've had to go through together, and you're stronger for all those things. You admire seeing young couples in love still in their first year of the relationship. 'Oh they look like how we used to be,' you say to your hubby. 

But there's a wisdom and strength that comes from the longevity of being together for such a long time. Your love for each other hasn't, in fact, dwindled. Passion isn't love, and being 'drunk' with love is also a version of infatuation. So though there aren't butterflies and sparks at every moment, there's a groundedness that is just as exciting, freeing, and loving.
